The “23” on P4G represents something deeply personal and meaningful—it’s not just a number, but a tribute to two extraordinary lives: Derrick Duff Jr. and Benecio Quispe. Though their time here was short, their impact remains unforgettable.

March 30, 2013, Derrick was 18 years old when he passed, a talented basketball player and a brother whose favorite number was 23. March 8, 2023, Benecio was 23 years old when he passed and was passionate in both basketball & football. Today, November 20, 2024, marks what would have been his 24th birthday—a day to celebrate the love and light he brought to everyone who knew him.

Since 2014, when P4G first began, “23” was a way to honor Derrick. Over time, it has grown to hold an even deeper significance, becoming a symbol of love and remembrance for those we’ve lost—a lasting tribute to their impact on our lives.

Derrick and Benecio may no longer be here, but through P4G and the meaning behind “23,” their legacies will live on forever.
